Do you have a lawn tractor?

If you do, what kind is it? I have an 89 or 90 Craftsman 10 horse with my custom beer (cup) holder, F150 tow hook loop, and a 3" body lift. I really want an old 60s-70s Cub Cadet, though.

I have a 3 year old Wizard (Read a craftsman in different clothes) Garden tractor. It has a 20hp Intek Briggs motor and a 6speed tranny and a 50" deck. (3 grannys and 3 highs) Love the thing, but I gotta rebuild the carb since dad filled it with diesel fuel on accident. I can't STAND a poorly running motor.

4 year old Yard Pro, 20 horse Briggs Intek V-twin with a 46" deck. It's gettin worn out pretty fast, except for the engine. I am hoping to find a good ZTR somewhere with a bad motor, or no motor at all, buy it and put my Intek on it.

ours is technically called a "garden tractor" but its abt a 4-5 yr old wheel horse. biggest deck they could fit on it, with a V-twin 20 horse Briggs. before that, we had another wheel horse that was at least 25 years old, and ran good till it just up and died one day. it was only like a 14 horse, but just as powerful as our new 20, just dont make em like they used to.

I got you all beat. I have a 25 year old Case by Ingersoll 224. I also have the garden tiller, chipper/shredder, snow blower, blade, lawn deck and sweeper. I run the thing every day like I stole it and plan on running it another 20 years.

I have a three year old White, biggest piece of garbage I have ever bought,I mow about 6 acres and when I went looking at the one White had on sale (12hp)their salesman said,oh no,a 12hp is to small for 6 acres, you need this one.A 16hp model, well I thought he knew what he was talking about,Ha!I paid almost $2,400 for it with a bagger,It ran terrible on the day I brought it home, they tried changing this and that and even put new belts on a brand new machine! Now three years later, the bearings are junk on the mower deck,It wont start on its own, relay is junk. The only good part on this piece of garbage is the B&S motor, which I am going to put on my 15yr old craftsman.I also have a 20yr old Bolens, what ever you do dont buy a White riding mower They are junk!I am a mechanic and have had to work on that piece of junk more times than all my other mowers combined!

Well, there's the old Ford... It's a late 60's (I think) 60 series with an old Kohler 1 lung.. loud as heck, but it'll pull a house down.
Then there's a Case (recent acqusition from Grandfather, who just got a new Deere), late 70's, all hydraulic, and built like a tank.
Then there's the Ariens, just a run of the mill lawn tractor from the early-mid 90's..
All 3 of them start with the flick of the key, and run like a top.
The old Ford we've removed the mower deck, and only use it to haul the wood wagon (a truck bed+frame converted). But, since we've got another truckbed-trailer now (old Courier bed), we may put the Case into duty for that, too.

Oh, by the way, Wildjon, you may want to check. I'd bet money your tractor was made my MTD. Nobody else sells Craftsman tractors, they have an exclusive contract through Frigidaire (yeah, them) Lawn & Garden division. There are a few exceptions, but not many.

I have a 30 year old Wheel Horse Ranger (32") and a 6 year old MTD (46"), both with Tecumseh engines. Paid $100 for the Wheel Horse and 600 for the MTD and both run like champs - other then one or two deck bearings on the MTD seem to get replaced every summer. If they'd just put replacement bearings out with zerk fittings I'd be fine.

I have a three year old Cub Cadet...17 1/2 hp. It's the smallest one they make (no shaft drive), and I abuse the heck out of it. When I saw that it had a hydrostatic trans and a drink holder, I knew I had to have it. Had to put oversized atv tires on it because of the wet clay around here, and now there's no stopping it. I really need a bigger tractor, and when the day comes I'll definately buy another Cub Cadet.

BTW 78f3504x4, I see those old Cub Cadets for sale along side the road every once in a while.
