Correct Timing

Any one know the correct timing for a '73 390? I'm still trying to find a manual that covers this motor but right now I'm in desperate need of the correct timing.
Thanks.

Rob, try it at 12btdc and see how the ol fe likes it. Don't be surprised when this gets moved to the FE forum...all things in their proper place ya know

Hey thanks a lot. I'll try it. I didn't realize there was a forum especially for FE's. Anyways, it's good to know I'm not the only one on this site at 1:00 in the morning. Thanks again.

I believe that the correct timing is 6 BTDC; it was through '72 at least if memory serves correctly.

I just read the FAQ again. It was 6 btdc from the factory but it is recomended that it is set at 12 btdc according to the FAQ.

Thanks for the info. I'm working with the numbers to see what works best. The high altitude in my town, 8000+feet, has caused some changes from a truck previously sitting in a desert. Love working with numbers.
