I went to fill up my pickup and about fell over when I saw the reader board that read Diesel is $1.54 a gallon. So i was wondering how much do you half to spend on Diesel in your area? I live in Washington State on the coast.

I live in northern Illinois. About 20 miles west of Chicago. Its right around $1.55 also. When i bought my truck about 1.5 years ago it was $1.35. But i would still rather have my diesels than my Ch*vy truck.

In Southern NJ Diesel was the same as reg. gas (1.339) until 2 weeks ago.
Gas went to 1.39 and I am now paying 1.439 for diesel.
I just got back from a snowmobile trip to central Pa. and diesel was 1.569 to 1.659.:-)

 

$1.49 to $1.42 in Portland, Oregon.

 

During my travels as of yesterday, 1/11/03:

$1.39(Shell & Texaco) to $1.46 for diesel in Boulder, CO area.
$1.24 to $1.43 in the Cheyenne, WY area.

$1.43 (off-brand) to $1.45 (Diamond Shamrock) to $1.57(Shell, Texaco)for regular gas, same areas.

Add the obligatory .009 to the above prices.

Gasoline jumped up at a number of places by around 8 cents on Friday, but not diesel and there's a large spread in prices right now, maybe 10 cents between major brands. Diesel has remained $1.39 at the Shell I regularly buy at for at least a month with no recent changes.

The Colorado state excise tax on gasoline is .22/gallon, on diesel it's 20.5/gallon.

My farmer's weather service says a severe cold snap is going to hit the eastern half of the country late next week, that might cause fuel prices to increase even more.

 

$1.51 at the sunoco where i buy in lake city fl or south ga what ever you want to call this place.it from and hasnt moved in the last 3 weeks which i am thank full for.

 

$1.57 in NE Wisconsin. Its finally gettin cold up here. Now we need some snow so I can ride my snow machine!! :-staun

 

I live in Williamsburg, VA and diesel usually runs around 1.39-1.49. Stations closer to I-64 can run up to 10 cents higher also. I tend to stick with Shell fuel even if it's a few cents higher. I've never had any problems, and most of the fleet trucks I see are filling up there, so they move a lot of diesel through there. Better to pay a few cents more than get a tank of "bad" fuel.

Last I checked (about 1 month ago, so the price probably has definatly gone UP ) was $1.33, it's probably at least $1.44 by now.
I fill up at Mobile (Most of the time) there is only 2 gas stations that have diesel fuel in my area.

Oh, and that is in the state of CT.

 

St. Louis Mo area $1.39 to $1.49 a gal. It also depends on how close to the highway you are as to how much you pay. Cheaper near the interstate by about $.10.
