Exclamation MAC Intake

I just put in a MAC air intake on my X. I do see a small difference in the acceleration; 14.4 HP according to MAC. But the biggest change is it sounds really mean now (Cobra you were right)-but for $130.00 over KandN's 250.00ish price - better deal. Its worth it I would recommend them for anyone thinking about them. I bought it through motorhaven.com

I do have one complaint. There was only a hole and grommet for the air temp sensor not a second for the air return line that terminates into the oil fill stem. I called MAC and they apologized and are sending me the grommet, so all i have to do is drill a 5/8" hole and put it the grommet in--after removing it to drill Yes this is a pain in the rear, but then i remember i saved $$$ for other stuff later

MAC said that nothing will happen with the air return line being not hooked up I pose the following question IS THIS TRUE?

I thought you would like it!

I don't think you will have a problem with the line - even if you do not hook it up...

Cobra what is that line. It has air flow pulling into the engine. Does is affect anything? What if i just cut and capped it would i be doing anything harmful????
