You could tape a couple of jars to the front grill of your truck, and fill them with fireflys.

I forgot to punch holes in the lids and the lights went out, but the fuse is alright. Did i blow the lights already? I thought sealed lights was better?

As far as i know the only alternative is to weld in the 56 buckets to sink them back in

Hey B1, What did you have in mind? To move from stock to halogen? Blue talons? Driving lights? If you're just trying to get away from the bugeye look, you can install a 56 grill and lights like I did. Check it out and see if that suits you. After you've been around here for a while, you'll get used to the harrasment. Good luck, John

If you really want something unique, I have the grill out of a 65 Gran Prix. It is the 4-headlight version. I took it off of a 56 PU front clip I bought on Ebay. You can have it if you come get it. Where are you located? John in Sacramento

Sorry, no pix. But it has four headlights side-by-side, not over-under. Then there are 8 horizontal bars across the whole front with one vertical in the center. Kinda like:

I'd just go with my creative instincts, Big. It seems that almost anything could be made to fit in that giant cavity... however, doing it tastefully is the key. I like the '53 Buick look, canted inboard with, perhaps a tube grille or some kind of "floating" bar in the center. There are any number of traditional doods on here who might frown on anything but the original... but that's what we are here for... share the fun. best. himmelberg

For sheer cool, the old Y-block is tough to beat. The distinctive note at the tailpipes and the soldierly march of 3 Holley 94's down the intake manifold sings early sixties. Chrome reversed wheels, nosed, trim the door handles, drop the front 2", big old ram's horns or some headers. Reet, daddyo.
Wanna get ratty? Find a place to cut some hood scoops in the sides of the bulge just above the fenders, run chrome stacks up the back of the cab sides, put ww's on it, get a cover stitched for the bed. Get it ready for paint with your red oxide primer and try some Limefire green scallops where it needs it the most. Trimmed in white pins, of course. Rolled and pleated... and there you are, Anyplace, USA, circa 1962. best. himmelberg

what did y blocks come in and gimme some specs of em. how do you nose it?(obviously a body term but still) and rams horns?? (remember i am 17, and im not a big motorhead)
speaking of hood scoops i was thinkin if i got a 302 a friend of mine has a high rise intake w/ 2 4brls on it and huge stacks on them both..now if i put that thing on,and did the body mods i want to, then most likely i would have a big *** hole in the hoob... which doesnt bother me at all BUT i want a period accurate piece so what about a few louvers..and i mean a FEW i hate it when the whole hood or deck lid is completely louvered. i was also thinkin of the red oxide or of course flat black with some sort of pinstripe on it to start out( i love pinstripes! ) wood beds - love em. it would be nice to see a channeled, chopped, grill converted, lowered, fat tire, white wall, steel wheel beast so if there are any pics around PLEASE help me
