engine problem

I have a 1987 302 in a f150 4x4 when i accelerate the truck shudders and makes a sound like ppppppp. any ideas would be appreciated.

Too bad the noise in't ppppppppower. The shudder is likely a tranny issue. Might be fixed with a fluid change.

The truck has a new process 435 with a new clutch. I put a 86 302 in it. I switched over to the 87 intake and all the efi and its emissions equipment. I'm quessing that the problem is in their but I not sure where to start. The 86 equipment didn't have this problem.
