going bad?
My 99 V10 had mild piston slap when I bought it new in 98. Only in cold weather (~<20F) and only for a minute or so after starting up. Now at almost 90 K miles it has the noise on starting even at 50 - 60F. It still goes away quickly and only makes the noise with throttle, not a idle. Do you think this might mean the engine is likely to tank in the near future? It uses very little oil and has had an easy life. Almost no towing and 3K mile oil changes since new.
