Compression

I'm planning on milling off about .020 of my heads from my 400 to boost compression...has anyone else done this? If so, do I need to have the intake shaved to match? Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

You can get by with milling the heads .020" without having to go anything to the intake. However the gain in compression will be very very minimal and really not worth the effort for maybe 1/10 of a point in compression increase. What you trying to acheive ?

I would like to get about 9.5:1...or there about. No lower, though. I've looked up Badger pistons and plan on using these as well...I'm not that used to building Ford motors (wish I'd discovered them sooner!), but anytime I've milled a chevy head I've always had to correct the geometry respective to the intake...I know that the Fel-Pro head gaskets I'm using are about .013 thicker than stock ones, so I'm hoping I won't lose any compression, plus with the new pistons...what would you recommend?
Thanks for the info..
