Another question..
Hi guys. I have another question. My 86 Ford F-150, 302 5.0 EFI, when i floor it, it shifts at 3000 RPM, MAYBE 4000 at the most if i time it right out of first gear. It is AOD. I know the computer controls when to shift, and i know it is factory-tuned to be a towing machine rather than a speed demon, but I would like to know, if there is anything i can do to the system so that, when i floor it, it lets the RPM hit about between 5500-6000 RPM before shifting to the next gear. I cant stop thinking about it because i peel out with this thing with just flooring the gas at only 2000 RPM! Thanks so much fellas...

I think you have a mechanical aod, not electronic. you have a column shift and the only indicators after reverse are d and 1? no OD position? thats how i thought the mechanicals always worked. aod's usually always had d, 2, 1 and an electronic overdrive lockout.
