What setup would you guys suggest for a 2003 F150 Sport Reg Cab? Amp, speakers, subs, everything you can think of. Price isn't THAT important, but nothing extravagant.
It really depends on your musical tastes and what you want. It's hard to say get this, this and this without knowing what you're looking for in a system.
Now how about a real budget meaning whats the max you are going to spend on the whole thing. This will help us give you ideas under the budget. If your handy and don't want to wait you could start by getting the 1100 watt amp kit from Walmart which is a dual amp kit. You may also need speaker wire. You can start figuring out a location for your amp(s) and you can run your wires.
I had all my wires run before i had all my stuff and it kept me busy enough that i didn't get desparate to buy the first thing i saw.
It will be a good idea to sound deaden the front doors also.
Next do you want drop in speakers or would you mind cutting? Would you mind cutting your door panels? If you go with comps you might need to cut a location for the tweeters.
In an F150 1 10" or 2 8"s would be all you need for a daily driver.
All the installation won't be a problem, I've got plenty enough knowhow and manpower to do that.
A real budget? That's somethin I'm not really solidifying yet - I'd be willing to spend a bit. It'd be high-end stuff tho - Alpine, Infinity - high-end. The way I'm thinkin right now is that I'm most likely gonna go with an Alpine head, the Lightning wiring, the sound dampening stuff I've already got enough of from a previous job, Infinity speakers. The amp and subs i haven't really nailed down yet. The amp i've been leaning towards going Alpine again. My brother had an Alpine Amp&head w/Infinity speakers set-up in his Firebird, so I know the kind of quality i'd be getting with that. It's the subs that i really havent gotten a hand on yet.
