Torque Force Module

I've got both my programmers from here - great hard working people and great service !
but based on what you see in the forums on most of the sites, ALL the modules/programmers thus far give the tranny some issues ...
At first I was a little disappointed in the Diablo programmer for that reason... but de-programming it and going back to stock is like removing two or three cylinders from your truck !
It's not a failing of the module, none of the modules were designed to addressed the trans shifting with this much power...
Someone had a great response to this that I hadn't thought of..
What if you had an engine that had so much power that the tires could not handle it and would continually break loose ?
What would you do?
You'd either get bigger tires... or
learn how to drive it with that issue in mind, by feahering the throttle so as not to loose traction...
until the chip/module/programmers figure the tranny out, we just need to see how the most effecient way to drive them is
the Ex with the module is SO much better even WITH the shifting issue, that I won't go back to stock unless you tear it from my cold dead hands
have to learn to lift the throttle from WOT at about 2500 rpm in 2nd to LET it shift into 3rd, then hammer it again...
but by that time I'm going WAY fast enough for MOST roads

FYI, Diablo is planning on an update (free) that will address the tranny issues. Don't have any date information though.
The problems are mostly that the transmission internal line pressures are too low to hold the bands on the drums tight enough to prevent them from slipping and burning up. When the transmission shifts soft and late, the energy of the engine running full bore at maximum torque can destroy bands, drums and shafts.
The transmissions can be made to shift to some degree firmer by adjusting the program. Another route is to make internal changes in the valve body.
My guess is that the chip people are having difficulty making the adjustments that will by themselves provide firm, positive shifts and provide reliablity.
The ultimate fix is may be internal components from some racing transmission company like B & M and others. They have for years made RV valve bodies and parts for guys like us who like to push the envelope.
In the short term we must remember that the transmission is the weakest link on these trucks and treat them accordingly.
Take it from someone who has "smoked" his share of transmissions!
