Iagree there is always more att. to the neg. then the good it just has been a nightmare the dealerships that I have been dealin with feel that it is not a problem, and I have to take off work to take it in. and no work no money and you combine that with the money I am loosing in poor fuel mpg it is getting old and to make it woors the 7.3 I had before zero trips to shop. great fuel mpg and dummie me, traded it in for the 6.0

I might do that but if I cant get this truck right I will probably be buying another brand , after 28 years loyal ford man cant believe the way I am being treated. It would be different if they would just say we know there are some problems, here is what we are going to do for in the mean time. and we are working to get it fixed but they keep saying there is nothing wrong with truck. and I am getting tired of going through the same thing over and over. any way I hope the new people who buy the 6.0 have better service then I have had.

Well, I came over to Ford from Chevy after 15 years. I've never, ever had a problem with any Chevy that I've purchased. I've never had a warranty issue with a Chevy. My wife's Tahoe has been a good car. So, I'll agree that there's probably more warranty issues with Ford. But, on the other hand, I didn't pay the Chevy price this time around. A buddy of mine has almost 50k wrapped up in a Duramax Chevy.. I rode in it, not that impressed to be honest. It sits low, maybe a little more quiet.. that's it. This is my first Ford, so far I'm pleased. But, I see your point.

Just when is Ford going to fix thier software problems? When they figure out that software that is between 5 and 20 times slower then nav.software isn't a good idea. All the extras have been deleted due to the fact the software can't support them. No Pi no more trans breaking 2 of the most touted marketing claims gone! Every other manufacturer can get PI to work the tran was great in orig. form now its just another trans. So when the weather get hot and the a/c problem start again will it be deleted ? The buying public is not going to stand for this much longer. yaeh go to the other sights (gm dodge ) ask how many are new and got out of a 6.0 and ask if thier happier. I have owned 9 new ford in last 12 years haven't brought a new none ford since before I purchased my 78 bronco and I'm fed up! Gm was always the break down kings now they have a good track record and fords S%^ks. Check any of the consumer guides who get the lowest rating for engines (FORD) and they lump the gas in with the diesels and check for yourself not many problems with the gassers. Ford is heading for a major down turn like in the late 80's and are going about it the wrong way fix what yoy <!-- f%^&ed up --> I have no respect for the language guidelines on this site and I've caught their attention because I think its okay to hide foul language with cute characters and stop telling people that within design intent. Market only what will work and work well. You will be a stronger co. for it. I'm done ranting now you can put your heads back in the sand.

Ford is sticking with the diesel engines and trying to make them work within the new emissions standards while GM has dropped their research and gone with the hybred techology thinking they can't beat the standards. 60 % of all cars in europe are diesels but our new standards elominate soot completely so none of them meet the standard.
My Ford runs perfect at 6760 miles. The Preditor makes it pretty fast and fun to drive.
A friend bought a new Chevy half ton, nice truck but he paid more than I did (a lot more.)

Very easy to use. The 65 HP Performance/economy mode gets a consistant 17 MPG combined at 80 - 85 MPH on the road. I think it may have improved it some but about the time I got it, the weather turned cold.
The truck really rocks! I ran at 3300 RPM for a while to see what the EGT with a stock exhaust would be...800 Deg, about 1 1/2" from the turbo outlet on the downpipe. 3300 RPM calculates at 113 MPH and got me a "vehicke overspeed" code. It was pulling hard and would have made 3600 RPM or so with ease.

EGT is exhaust gas temp. Very important when you are fiddling with the horsepower. I've never had mine in for service. I have a shop that is owned by another PSD owner change my oil. I bought the Preditor from him also. I installed the K&N myself after the dealer service manager said she had one on her PSD. I will reload the stock program if I have warranty service.
