GOOD NEWS
When I had my 5,000 mile oil/filter change.....I asked my dealer to check my front end alignment, as I was experiencing some even "feathering" on the inside AND outside edges of BOTH front tires.
Their Service Department did not have the alignment specifications either.....so my service technician got on his computer and went into Ford's Technical Service website, and quickly located the front end alignment specs. for my 2004 F-150 Supercrew, Lariat, 4 x 2.....which coincidentally are EXACTLY THE SAME as the 2003 model!! My front end alignment was right on the money....and the even "feathering" I am experiencing is NORMAL, and correctable by proper tire rotation.
So, as advised, I rotated the front tires straight back to the rear, and rotated the rear tires straight to the front.....and the "feathering" that was on the front tires (now on the rear) has almost disappeared, after driving 2,500 miles.....
