My 2003 F-350 Lariat has been on order for just over one week now. No matter how many times I visit this web site or configure and re-configure and re-configure my truck on KBB.com the time doesn't seem to go any faster...my truck won't get here any sooner. (Today I was pleased to see the 2003's as configurable model years on the Kelly Blue Book site.) At least I am getting re-aquainted with what it was like the months leading up to Christmas and birthdays when I was younger. Although this is the first "NEW" vehicle I have ever owned- I am an adult, married, have children, and run my own company- you would think I could be more patient than this? I can't even justify going out and buying after market items until I get the truck. The dealer is getting pretty annoyed with my frequent, post order, "test drives".
Although this group might be biased how pleased have you been with you truck after delivery? Any major problems? I spend some time on the BON sight and a lot of those people seem to be pretty irritated with Ford. I own a 1990 F-150 with 180K on it and have have ZERO problems other than a clutch at 110K. In general, do the Super Duty's fair better than other Ford products?
And- what the heck do you do with your time while waiting????

No, and I'm not either!

Yes the group is biased. Most of us like pizza
It's the same old story with vehicles. Most times you get gold and a few times you get a lemon. I 've found that I get a better work truck and less lemons from Ford. Ford will give you lemonade This Superduty is by far the best pickup I've owned in the 27 years I've driven them (and thats all brands).
More importantly is the dealer service you receive. Now THERE you can really find some LEMONS.
I waited about 10 wks for my trk ans I can tell ya that it was worth the wait and I'm really thrilled with it. i bought a bunch of mods for mine during the wait. Good thing it came in when it did....mighta went broke. I'm still enjoying addign little trick doodads. Hang in there. You're gonna love the trk when ya get it. Don't forget we wanna see it too!
Wow you've test driven so much that your dealer is getting annoyed??? Well, sounds like its time to annoy another dealer while you wait!! I don't what else you could do to pass the time quicker. Oh well.
Pace!
I haven't had any troubles with my super duty. I got it home 5 days before vacation time last year dropped on the camper and took off on a 6000Km trip with out a hick up. Brought it out of storage a month and a half ago did a few checks and still runs strong no troubles yet.
Keep your head up the wait will be worth it.
My truck came in last Fri. a week early. Just got back from the dealer and let me tell you the wait is killing me. The finance guy has been out the past 2 days so I can't take it home. This is a replacement truck for the 2001 headache they sold me last Sept.I did a thorough inspection and there are no obvious flaws. I was told that there are a couple of forms I have to sign for the substitution of collaterall and I will be on my way. I feel for you about the wait but the time will come and you should be pleased.
I developed incredible patience. I came here to the sight quite often and read and read and read. Well I talked to my salesman today and he said as of yesterday my truck was scheduled to come in on the 28th of June. Well he received an update this morning and my truck has a delivery date for tomorrow the 13th. Now, I'm not to sure how my patience can hold out after hearing that great news. It was like waiting for Christmas everyday. Original order date from the dealer was April 18th. My salesman stated 8 weeks. It will be just about 8 weeks.
