IMO mud is great wheeling and also the best. You can hike over rocks and walk any trail your truck could drive but you're not gonna cross a lot of mud holes on foot. It feels good to see mud rooster 20 feet in the air from all four corners of your Ford and see peoples faces when you drive home, mud flying out of your tires and dropping off in huge chunks at lights on the street.

Plus rocks are gonna break your equipment before mud will because traction is gonna cause more torque loading on the parts.
Getting stuck isn't that bad unless you're with people who have crappy attitudes and freak (panic) when it happens. HOWEVER, it really does suck when you have to leave your truck because you couldn't dig it out, no one could pull it, or you where alone and had to go get more serious help. I've walked away from my truck 3 times in stucks and damn that feelings horrible. Good thing it was stuck it places that were either extremely tough to drive in or very isolated because I just said the hell with it and didn't even bother locking it because then I'd have broken windows to go along with no radio and no tools

Worst thing about it I can think is down here you're almost always tresspassing or breaking some law and being accused of illegal dumping, etc... (see my pics)
