Top End Oil Pressure 2.8

1985 2.8 HAVE NO HISTORY OF ENGINE, NO OIL PRESSURE ON TOP END, CHANGED OIL PUMP, BUT STILL NO PRESSURE ON TOP END, OIL GALLIES SEEM TO BE CLEAR.

When you say no pressure on top end, just exactly what do you mean? Is there pressure showing on the gauge?

YES PRESSURE ON THE GAUGE, BUT NO OIL THROUGH THE GALLEY TO THE HEAD EVEN W THE HEAD OFF

I think the oil is sent throught the head/block
surface on the 2.8L, if you've got no oil in the
rocker shaft, the cam bearing may have spun,
or was incorrectly installed, you may have to
pull the cam and drill down through the bearing
to get oil to travel up through the head...

The other possibility is that you have the wrong
rocket shaft stand and bolt installed for the oil
passage...
