Does the shift firmness adjustment also adjust the rate at which the return to lockup on the torque converter occurs after a downshift? I use the SCMT and experience a significant delay after dropping from 4 to 3 under heavy load. During those several seconds the exhaust temperature quickly rises past 1250, forcing me to back off the accelerator to let the TC lock up. Do you think the predator would solve this problem?

I HAVE A MICRO TUNER (older model w/only 2 settings) it is on a 2001 c-cab psd 4wd. it seems to get its best mileage and driving on the high setting. My guestion is with normal every day driving (no towing) will it hurt to leave it on this setting? I have no gauges and swap to the tow mode when towing. What mileage have improvements has anyone seen with the old of unit?

I didn't read through all the posts, so I don't know if this has been brought up. I had a Predator programmer on my '99 and I had to put three trans mounts in the damn thing because it shifted so frickin' hard. This was a stock tranny and that damn programmer increased the line pressure so much that it kept breaking the mounts. Not only that, when it shifted the back of the trans jumped up so much that the A/C clutch pully was wearing a hole in my coolant resevoir. I fixed the problem by junking the programmer and having a chip custom tuned by TS Performance.

heh, the proper way is to re-gear your axles so you aren't stressing your drive train so much. I hope your truck has a manual trans, other wise save your pennies.
