Swapping Dashes
Hey guys I just bought a 93 3.0 sport with a manual tranny. The ride is great she's a little rough around the edges but the dealer has to fix her up before I take delivery... first thing on my slate of mods is to get that ugly *** instrument panel out lol. I would love to find a digital one or to set up a custom layout myself... any words on compatibility or ease of these changes? I've never done anything like this before... advice?

Sounds tough in today's computer controlled cars, plus you want to be able to keep your warning lights. Perhaps (this is kinda odd, and I've never tried it, so here we go) you could keep the dash face (for the warning lights) but bore out the gauge faces that are there, and replace them with autometer or other aftermarket gauges. That could look nice.

Well my two biggest gripes about the whole thing are the lack of tachometer (not that I need one I just like to have one) and a transmission oil temperature gauge (I tow frequently)
I'm thinking aftermarket or swapping out the digital dash from a 4.0 Eddie Bauer... I Think either would look nicer than the very bland cluster I have now...
