Rusted Tight Engine

After melting all the ice out of my 351, I discovered lots of rust. Has anyone ever fought to take apart a rusted engine? I can't turn it over to get 2 of the rod bolts, and the top half of the crank, rods, and pistons are covered in rust. And I've tried everything but can't get the rod caps(?) off. I know I'm probably going to need a new cam, crank, rods and pistons, but what about the block. Is there someway I could get it dipped in acid or doesn't it really matter if the block is rusty inside, other than the cylinder walls, bearing, lifters, etc. I'm not sure if I just said exactly what I want to know, but you might get the idea. Thanks for any help.

Try using some marvel mystery oil or Deep Creep. You can get the block cleaned up at pretty much any machine shop. You may need to bore it, but depending on how deep the rust is, you may be able to get away with just honing the cylinders.

and after soaking, use a piece wood and tap the piston both sides in both directions,it should loosen up,

try soaking the cylinders in tranny fluid. i heard it worked to get the motor unlocked after no oil. i tried it when my older 302 forze up since i did not get the oil pump shaft did not get on correctly when i rebuilt the distributor. anyway i worked. if the cylinders are rusted you can bet you will need to bore. bore to the next smallest bore size as it will allow.

id throw it in the trash cause every part will need to be new or reconditioned.
