Nothing of practical value. On the sd crossover kits the tie rod remains in the stock location below the leaf springs but the drag link is relocated above the pass side spring like in your pic. It's the drag link angle that's the supposed critical factor so unless you are concerned with damaging your tie rod there's no real difference.

There's a guy on another site that talked about running the tie rod up high like that as well. Just mainly to get it out of the way for off roading.
A lot of guys just make a straight tie rod out of DOM or chromemoly tubing. Looks better IMO, and raises the tie rod up to protect it since it no longer hangs down below the axle tube.
