Need Tuner for return fuel system - 4.6 2v (p71) Swap into F100
Need Tuner for return fuel system - 4.6 2v (p71) Swap into F100
Simply put, I have a 1963 F100 with 4.6 2v (p71) swap. I have a fuel cell and am in the process of plumbing the fuel system for feed and return (NOT return less). I have read I need a tuner to delete/modify the parameters to remove the return less logic in the stock ECU. What I believe needs to be done with the tuner:
Disable return less logic
Fix pressure at 39 PSI base
Delete FPDM logic
What I found that has this capabilities:
HP Tuners MPVI4 plus the VCM Suite
Am I missing something obvious? I have experience tuning full standalones. AEM, Microtech, and Haltech.
I don't understand the need for "Universal Credits"? Is the software not free to download after purchasing the tuner? Are there limited credits (time) I can use the software like AOL in the 90s!?!?
This is my first 4.6 engine go around. I am learning the lingo and what's available for this platform. Be gentle with me gentlemen. lol
