I did a search but couldn't find anything specific to this. I was thinking about simply swapping F350 Tremor front coils on my XLT FX4 to gain 1" or 1-1/2" in front. I've been searching and find a lot of LC3C-5310, but with a few different suffix's. I have 5310-ALB, but I've seen -AWA and -ALA as well. Does anyone know what the difference is?
I can’t figure out how to post the link, but the FORDTREMOR.COM forum has a chart with all the spring codes. Search “ford tremor coil springs” and it should come up.
Thanks- I read through that the other day- the challenge with that thread is all sorts of builds gas and diesel, it gets a little off track and some ambiguous posts- makes it hard to a get clear application part number. Ford does t make it easy either with the large number of coil applications depending on trim level-
I’m pretty good at identifying parts but I may need to talk to a competent parts manager.
Thanks that thread was more helpful- I think I’ve got it figured out 👍
For anyone looking for uprated springs the codes listed above are Engineering codes- not the retail part number you order with- apparently most online catalogs do not recognize for example- LC3C-5310-AVA (4800 lb GAWR tremor spring) it’s possible your parts manager might see it in his system though (ymmv).
The retail part code starts with LC3Z
and for the 4800lb GAWR the retail part number Tremor spring is LC3Z-5310-W
