Howdy all!
Quick question for you parts guys.
So 1973 f100 with a fe390, and c6. Bought a great condition fomoco distributor at a garage sale today-just in time to replace my original worn out unit. It looks identical to what i am running already, but started looking up part numbers, and now i am even more confused.
Current dist in truck
Autolite c8tf 12127-G
New dist
Fomoco C5af 12127-B
I found some stuff says it's for a 390, and some stuff says a 289, and even more stuff says it's mechanical only? Well it's not. Vac advance can put together at factory. The hex shaft is the same size, but haven't checked anything else yet. Just need to know if this will work in my 390 or not before i go transferring the pertronix stuff into it. I highly appreciate it!!

 

Oh, and that B suffix on the new one could be a D. Really didn't stamp that part too well.
