Yep, I did know that, and here in Saxonburg, we're the home of the wire rope. John Roebling invented that and also designed the Brooklyn Bridge. I'm kinda surprised you knew that, I bet theres a lot of people here in Butler who don't know that.

I've got an article on it somewhere around the house. It was an amazing piece of engineering, considering the Army gave them juast a few weeks to build the prototype. If you want to e-mail me your address, I'll send you a copy of it- it's a great article, I couldn't put it down. Shows several photos of the original factory in Butler, too.

My valley has been growing by such leaps and bounds that it is impossible to describe how fast it is "developing". We now have a developer that wants to build the largest Mall in the state up here, using farm land, well outside all three of the towns in the valley. We have numerous empty / failed business' from large chains and no one wants to touch the empty buildings. Once the "progress" starts, Im afraid you are doomed to sit back and watch or try fighting it with zoning. But good luck anyway.
