Bakflip revolver Peeling and shrinking, re-vinyl?

I didn't take any pics yet, but i will take some and post them.
My bakflip revolver which i'm guessing is 3-4 years old is starting to peel and shrink pretty bad.
Even if i could glue is down, it's still not going to cover.
I'm starting to regret purchasing this design, i never gave any thought to how long it would last.
I like that it's flush and doesn't block the rear window, but at $1200 i'd rather not have to purchase a new one after 4 years.

Anyone attempt to recover theirs? I'm sure it will be a serious pain to get the glue off, but i'd guess 91% rubbing alcohol and elbow grease would do it.

If that is not an option i'll have to find another fold up (not roll) flush mount style and replace it.
It just won't be bakflip, the cheap vinyl stretch cover on my old dodge dakota beater lasted 10 years.

So Bakflip offered me 50% off any cover from their brand (to which I agreed), which is now owned by realtruck. Didn't take a whole lot of effort, just a phone call.

This time I get a 5 year warranty.
Purchased the Bakflip G2 folding cover.

While obviously i have no idea about longevity it's a much simpler easier to operate design.
My desire to not have the window completely cover the dozen or so times i haul big things a year likely led me to make the decision to use the significantly more complicated design of the roll up. My kids and wife can operate the G2 much easier without having to worry about snapping it down like the revolver X2.

I'm told they slightly modified the design of the original revolver (now the x4), but it appears to just be wrapped and bolted under the tailgate edge. I can't tell if it's done on the sides.

My advice, buy one with the 5 year warranty and avoid the Revolvers.
