My wife's 2018 3.5 has been plagued with the P1450 code about twice a year for the last couple years. Most of the time when we take it in everything is working as it should so the code gets cleared and it's good for 6 months to a year. Last year it started acting up again so the fuel pump was replaced which kept the light off for a year. Two months ago it started coming on again and the EVAP purge solenoid was changed, the light stayed off for a couple weeks and come on again but like every other time it was working as it should when diagnostic tests were done. Mechanic is now thinking there is a short somewhere in the wiring harness. We are just about out of warranty and I want to get this fixed once and for all, anyone have any ideas that might be overlooked?
ETA. Originally we were going to trade this year but with the economy the way it is and the price of new trucks we're probably going to keep this one awhile longer.
When I see that code, the first thing that comes to mind is that the charcoal canister is unable to breath. This is usually caused by those who keep stuffing fuel into the tank after the pump clicks off. Fuel backs up in the filler tube, then spills into the charcoal canister, which ruins it. It will also cause premature fuel pump failure, and after awhile, if the canister gets fully soaked, the tank will become difficult to fill and the engine will randomly stall. Usually a strong smell of fuel will be the giveaway before those things start happening.
You could also have a bad filler cap/flap. Or you could have something like a mud dauber nest in the vent tube.

Talked to my wife and she said she doesn't keep trying to add fuel after it clicks off. We also don't have mud daubers around my parts so I don't think that's the problem.

Seems like there is too much guessing and too much parts changing for the listed fault code description..
A fuel pump would have nothing to do with the fault of failure to < Bleed up> the fuel tank. Vacuum detected as too high while the engine is >>> running only. This is vacuum, engine is pulling on the fuel tank.
At idle its about 20 inches. During deceleration, vacuum can be forced upward of near 30 inched. From the engine. This is when the failure likely occurs to set the code..
The EVAP system should be closed off while the engine is running. The code sets when the Tank Pressure Sensor detects Vacuum at to great a level >>while the engine is running.
The Purge valve may not be fully closing, Sensor fault, Vent valve filter plugged etc. etc.
Have to take into account the way it fails.
It can make the fuel pump work a bit harder trying to pull fuel from a Vacuum and even cause some rough running from fuel being drown through the EVAP system Leak or Open..
