Very convincing arguments to just keep it overall, as the votes reflect

If you aren’t professionally hauling, do not have 2 heavy duty trailers, and do not have 2 drivers that can pull a 10,000lbs + trailer, then I would get something else more light duty for the road trips you described.

I sold my F350 DRW backup truck once I realized all that, but I don’t trailer over 15-16k lbs at most with my 250, and only flat loads for work occasionally.

My F250 6.7 KR was blocked in this weekend and we ran around in my girlfriends little Lexus SUV. Its much more comfortable.

I ordered an SUV (LX600) that has a tow rating of 8,000/800 to replace the dually and her little SUV. We should have it within a couple months hopefully.

Your experiences may vary but my F250 even with a 1.5” lift and 22” wheels manages my 120 ac mini-ranch and construction company just fine. I have had a few 3/4 tons now but also didn’t mind daily driving my dually for almost 2 years even living in downtown in a dense urban area.

I wonder which is more expensive, a DPF/SCR replacement + CP4 replacement on a 6.7 diesel, or doing cam shafts on a 7.3 gas?

I would go gas over diesel any day of the week if money wasn't an object.

if you’re smart enough to put on a dpk to protect 99% of the rest of your fuel system it’s not the dramatic event some people experience without it.

and if you do that I’d say the cost comparison you’re setting up is close to the same.
