Question Can anyone spare an X-plan PIN?

Anybody have a spare X-plan slot they can share?
I'm going to buy a F150.
Going to keep my F250 so don't flame me for posting here, please.
Thanks in advance

You have 90 days to wait? Go over to the experimental aircraft association website and pay the $40 membership price and you'll get X-Plan.
If you can't wait, maybe some X-Plans are different than others. I have to show a membership card (with my name on it) and proof of being a member for at least 90 days.
Like I said maybe some x plan participation is different, like through an employer for example. Or maybe different plans can give out pins, like Ford employees or dealership employees (A plan, Z plan). Good luck!

Yeah, Xplans aren’t something you can just hand over to someone.

The last two times I bought a new truck, I got an X plan pin from a friends sister who retired from Ford, so yes, you can hand it over to someone.

Friends & Neighbors:

An eligible Ford employee or retiree may sponsor up to four (4) PINs per calendar year to be used toward the purchase/lease of a new vehicle for a friend or neighbor as noted below (see PIN Generation for details):
  • Selected individuals sponsored by a Ford Motor Company employee or retiree such as an extended family member, friend or neighbor.
  • Sponsors must know the individuals they are sponsoring.
  • Dealership employees may not act as a broker by requesting a PIN for a customer from a sponsor.
  • Dealerships or anyone connected with or acting on behalf of the dealership cannot purchase or solicit PINs.

Not trying to split hairs, but if she retired from Ford, she had Z plan. She had 4 pins per year to use herself or to "sponsor" other people. She sponsored you and gave you a Z plan pin to use.

OP here is a website I found that goes over the program rules. AZ plan rules
You want to find a current (A plan) or retired (Z plan) Ford employee who has a pin to share. X plan isn't going to help as those can only be used by the main person once per year.

I'm not sure of what plan she is on, but I do know the last two trucks I purchased from Ford were X plan priced, with pins that she gave me.

There used to be X Plan eligibility if you owned 100 or more shares of Ford. That's how I got mine. But they did away with that.
Looks like I'd have to renew my Mustang Club membership if I decided to buy a truck again.

X-plan probably not needed to secure a good deal on an F150...

Lots here are JAMMED with them and I have seen stuff like 8k off MSRP being offered. They aint moving.

It's now $35/year. Still a great, low cost way to get X-Plan.

You mean AZ instead of X, right? Active Ford employees (A) as well as retirees (Z) get 4 X pins/year yo give out to friends/relatives/neighbour etx..in addition to 4 AZ pins/year, which might have changed to 3 AZ pins lately....AZ is for myself and immediate Family only

Only have one left this year and i've promised it to somebody. Are you ordering or buying off the lot? I'd help you out in January...

Good point! I've seen dealers with 150+ F-150s on the lot. Brandon Ford shows 612 on the lot right now lol

I meant X plan participants aren't able to give away pins. Although now from what people are saying that might not be true? Or maybe if a Z plan participant gives a pin to someone they get x plan level pricing? I don't know

Even when there was a "shortage" I secured 9k off a 2021 F150 in January 2022. They were trying to get rid of the left overs. Now admittedly 2k of that was an ECO at the time, but 7k off MSRP was their deal... That was about 10% off MSRP(69xxx) which I think at the time was pretty closet to invoice, which is pretty much x-plan. So today with lots flooded with F150's, im sure its not difficult to get a good deal... unless you are trying to get a platinum, KR or Limited as I assume those are having the same constraint issues as the Superduty is, but I have no clue, I dont follow the half ton market much except seeing dealer lots flooded with them.
