@scraprat Looks like the truck is in great shape. I need to do my brakes. I am at the 60k mark and need tires and brakes but it’s been to cold and rainy. My drivers side brakes are wearing faster than passenger side both front and rear for some reason. The tire place did my rotation here said all looks good but was surprised at the brakes wearing that way. They both still have good life but I am busy this next month so will get them done and then new tires.

I have not sent oil samples off but like you my oil changes visually look good. Almost as if it doesn’t need changing. So far no complaints at all with the truck.

I did have fun watching the valet park it in a parking garage a few weeks back lol. Now that young man probably took a few years off the door hinges as he got in and out about 15 times trying to park the darn thing. I did when I left after the weekend buy him a cold beer and gave him a good tip. Now he did ask what type of air freshener I had in the truck as he said he had never smelled anything like it before it was unique. I said youngman that is cow pie fresh from the farm lol. I had been out feeding the day I drove down and my muck boots were covered as they set in the back floor board. I don’t think he has been out of the city much.

Took an oil sample on this change and sending it in to Blackstone. Better or worse I'll post up the results. We'll see how it compares to the last oil/ TBN sample 42k miles ago. This sample though will be from the Pennzoil 5w30 high mileage full synthetic oil I used because MC 5w30 was mia on the shelf. 8,219 miles on the oil, 196 engine hours, 56 idle hours should be a good testing point.
Here is the second oil sample results back from Blackstone. I wish it was an apples to apples comparison meaning MC to MC but it's a MC to Pennzoil. MC is a synthetic blend and Pennzoil was full synthetic. Overall it seems like a good report. Next time when I do the oil sample it will be with MC again that will be interesting I think to see how it compares with the original MC results. Maybe at the end of the year or beginning of next, that should be in the 170-175k miles if I stay on pace.

Just switched the 4wd valance to the 2wd front valance on the truck after coming off an incline into wash and cracking the passenger side valance.

Got the 2wd valance from Amazon for $124.95, measures 4" tall ( 4wd valance 8")

Quality feels the same as OEM for thickness.

Before and after pic. I like the shorter version and should give a little more clarence transitioning off road some.

I can give an idea on mileage now. I drove this route 2 weeks ago from Clovis, NM to Overton, NV. I filled up before leaving and topped off at destination.
4wd front valance
792 miles ÷ 55.44 gallons = 14.28 mpg

Yesterday, same exact route from Clovis, NM with the only difference ending in Kingman, AZ.
2wd front valance
660 miles ÷ 46.27 gallons = 14.26 mpg

Driving condition basically the same. Only .02 mpg difference.

Thank you for the maintenance update and the mileage difference with the 2wd valance.

You cover some ground for sure. I reckon she is still running well and you just keep moving along. I got some new tires on mine this past weekend finally. I was a bit overdue on the tires. Went ahead and did the brakes. Rt at the 60k mark roughly. I need to do the wheel bearings grease but will wait a few weeand do that and the next oil change etc. keep on taking care of that truck seems they are not to bad so far.

I'll put on another 3,000 in the next 2 weeks. It's time for a transmission oil change and most likely filter. This I'll pay someone to do because doing it in open desert conditions doesn't sound like a wise idea to me.

Basically no difference in fuel economy and 100% looks better

I like MC myself but Wally didn't have it at time of oil change so went with that Pennzoil oil. I almost grabbed another oil sample just for a back to back comparison but will do one down the road with MC again.

Those Bendix fleet pads are my favorite. I had them on my 2011 F250 and they worked awsome.

The Bendix seem to be holding up nicely. No noisey brake squeal, very minimal brake dust showing on the wheels.
