What headers

I've got a 1997 F250 4 wheel drive with a 460. What headers do you all recommend?

most of the 460 guys seem to like the Banks headers, from what I've seen. I've never actually done headers on an OBS 460 rig.

The Thorley headers look pretty good and they have a great reputation going back many years.

Yes they are expensive. Glad to hear they fit good though. Did your brother feel like they were worthwhile after you fellows got them all working?

Not really. No gain in fuel economy, doesn't feel any more powerful, but his wallet is certainly lighter. Probably would have been just as well off putting manifolds back on it.

I have never heard of no power increase of horsepower with long tube headers in my 68 years of life. I put long tube headers on my 2011 v6 Mustang and felt at least 20 extra horsepower. My 0 to 60 times went from 6.1 to 5.8-5.7 seconds...............I'm at the high 4 second times with my 3.73 rear gear ratio.......... Just saying.......
