Since two days ago I'm getting "Checking your browser before proceeding...", or similar words, but not the Captcha idiot routine.
I've had other sites erect barriers of inconvenience in the name of security, and my decision then was to deprecate the site within my daily rounds.
On one site the security stunt was so egregious that I left and never went back.
Not punitive, they just made themselves less than useful relative to their competition.
I started to see that stupid "Checking your browser..." thing a couple of days ago, and it is really annoying. It clobbers the forward links to all the FTE lists I visit so I have to retype them again if I want to keep up with them. Oddly, it did not want to check this morning.
