engine swap

i have a 351M in my 77 ford...my pappy has a 351C will it bolt up to the same tranny that i have in my truck now?

Nope. The 351C uses the same pattern as the 351W. The 351M uses the same pattern as the 460.

Motor Mounts

are also differen't. The 351C uses a 2 bolt mount, the same as 289-351W small blocks. The 351M/400 has a 3 bolt pattern unique to these engines. There's more potential with your 351M if it's rebuilt using a 400 crank and pistons.
