when i hit the 4x4 button on the fly i notice like a dragging sound or sorta a grinding sound as soon as i stop and go again it goes away or if i engage it while im stopped it doesnt make the noise. the transfer case was replaced not to long ago so i dont think its that. where could this noise be comeing from i cant tell and what should i do????????/

 

One way to check is to remove the hub assembly, PLEASE LEAVE The retainer nuts ON>>> that would be a real mess...If your auto hubs are not engaging, this will eliminate them. It would also tell you if it is your transfer case by eliminating the stress on the front driveline. To me it sounds like the transfercase is having an engaging problem, but this will just clarify that it is not the simplist solution first.
