ok i just changed my front brake pad and did everything i should have"i think". but now i was driving it and the brakes are really bad even worse than before i bled all the brake lines thinking this was the problem, and it solved nothing. sometimes only the front right is the only one that grabs and not the front left. i can tell the front right grabs good because of the skid marks i left tryin to stop at a red light. .

looks like ill be driving the jeep to school in the cold again tomm.

thanx
tj

Did you adjust the new brake shoes back out after putting them in? You should adjust them out tell the wheel turns one to two times before stopping.

Wha chu talkin bout tj? It don't get cold in tx. Are you working with drums here? If so, I agree with heep. Make sure you adjust them up good and you may want to bleed them once more.

adjust the brakes untill they"just" grab while turning the wheel. The wheel should go about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn then stop.
Also, yes you should study harder in English and spelling!

Hmmm well, I hope you rebuilt the wheel cylinders or at least rolled the dust boot back to see if they were leaking or how wet they were. Sometime you can get by about every other time you
replace the shoe's. Back 40 yrs ago when working in a brake shop we adjusted the wheel until it would not spin and back it off 3 clicks. Plus then the old rule of thum was short shoe always went up front. SOMETIMES when you put on new lining and you don't doing those wheel cyl they will start LEAKING then you have to re-do the hole darn thing again, by trying to do it the cheapest way first. And repack the inner and outer wheel bearing and some new seals to. THAN you done the job right well almost.
You must turn the front drums out the same size or it will pull to one side. The back, is alittle more for giving.. my 3 cent's
Rich..
