VIN decoder
hey guys,
I noticed something weird with the vin decoder today.
every single 3.5l ecoboost engine between 2017 and 2019 I looked up (which should all have tow capacity 10k lbs or more) had 7,000lb tow capacity in the lookup tool.
If i look up older models it seems closer to real numbers.

-- as far as i can tell this is the 375hp 3.5l v7 ecoboost. which all trim models of that engine can trailer at least 10k lbs.
but when you go to the tech specs page, it says max 7000lbs trailer capacity and only 12000lbs of combined gross weight. It should be almost 12000lbs of towing! right?
Either, the Gross combined weight is wrong on them all...or something else weird is happening.
