Question What is that part called???

I sprung a coolant leak that is coming from a piece of metal the rubber hose connects to leading into the engine. I don't know what it's called or if it's easy to replace. The metal has corroded and there is a pin hole shooting fluid all over the engine.

Also, there is some fluid bubbling out of where the radiator hose meets the radiator. I'm not sure if there is a gasket there???

I will be trying to fix these things tomorrow so any pics or suggetsions you have would be helpful. Let me know if you need more info!

Yes that`s it. The part that the top rad hose plugs on to the engine.
As for the leak at the rad you may just have to tighten the clamp (or replace with an adjustable one) but have a good look at it in case it is a small crack where the hard tube meets the rad.

In doing some more research it seems there may be a small metal tube that comes out of the intake manifold that the hose connects to. The hose is smaller than the one coming out of the top of the radiator (maybe half the diameter) and might be described as "TUBE ASY HTR WTR OUT"??? Does this mean anything to anyone!

I think it must be the 3/4" bypass that connects at the thermo housing along side the big hose, I believe this runs directly to the firewall then onto the heater core. If it's leaking from that connector then you will probably have to remove the entire thermostat housing and either find a replacement (junk yard comes to mind) or see if someone could braze/solder the crack.

Check one of the suppliers here on this web site or go to rockauto.com. If it is a commonly replaced part you may find it new.
