Good morning Wyoming friends!
Rod, Your scaring me with all of this talk about Yellowstone volcano erupting. I'm headed there this July for the One Page G2G. I hope it doesn't blow then I would hate to have my new camper melted on it's first big trip!

The winds I have seen come across the Bear Tooth mountains, I say most ash under 3000-5000 feet above ground will go directly east. With the size of the caldera, I would say several 100nm radius could see a large amount of ash fall from high altitude.
When Mt Saint Helen blew, We were vacationing at Myrtle Beach South Carolina. About 3 days later we had a thin layer of ash cover everything.

Mr Google says that the Yellowstone caldera would have an explosion 2,000 times greater than Mount St Helens.
I'm a bit surprised to see the affect to the east of Yellowstone in the below graphic. I would have expected the west to east air flow to minimize that, but I guess not.

Good evening John and Tim. How did the green house prep go?
Arrived home tonight and the headlights hit the yard and I realized I need to cut it for the second time this spring! This is way too early for that kind of nonsense!
Hope all of WY had a great day.
Hope "Up North John" did as well! LOL
