The wheels are made in China. They come with the valvestems installed already in the wheels.

Must be some kind of chemical reaction between the two that cause this.

Think it's the China..........I am in Florida and mine looked like yours.

If you are under 36K and 3 years Ford replaces them. But like Ferguson said, his replacements did the same thing.

It's too bad what these trucks cost that Ford uses Chinese wheels.................

Guy I work with, born and raised in Coopersburg, not sure how long you have been out of the area, are you familiar with PK Moyer & Son on Allentown Road? That is where our shop is.

A sign of the times? This is my old truck, 17 years, 245K miles no issues with the wheels at all.

Think it's only the aluminum on the rear outside of the duallies.

I get what your saying about the dual wheels, (my single wheel truck may not be a good comparison) but I think the quality of wheels now vs.20 years ago is significant.

I know exactly what you are talking about. My 2006 F350 (not a dually) never had a problem with the wheels either.

I tried to get the dealer to let me keep the corroded wheels, but they have to be sent back to a Ford.
Thought I would try to get them repaired.

Hoping these don't corrode, but am sure they will because they are exactly the same.

It's good to know we are on the same page here. Stay warm in Florida, supposed to get very cold here in PA in the next few days.

PA and their mess of salt sure doesn't help, but I've seen posts about this from all over the country through the years. The wheels are just cheap. Mine are at least 2x worse than the pics dance posted.

I'm unsure where I'm going with mine next, nothing aftermarket speaks to me. Still think I'm going to try to find a second spare steelie off a wreck and throw them on so I can get the current ones refinished 2 at a time.

I like that idea Ferguson. I may start looking for a steel spare also. Then I will be ready when these wheels start corroding.

Stay warm

For some reason I like the look of the steel wheels, when we ordered the truck my wife said no to the steel, she wanted the aluminum wheels.
