Quick Question

Hey guys new to the forum. I am about to pull the trigger on a 2019 STX with the 6.2. I went and test drove one the other day and loved it. I did how ever not even look to see if there was rear A/C vents. Being in Florida and having a two year its pretty important to me. Does anyone on here know if the XL STX has rear A/C vents?

Thanks
Chris

I am fairly certain that any current F250 will not have them unless the vehicle is equipped with the console. My XLT with the front center fold down seat/console does not have rear a/c. I have been told several times from the back seat to turn the a/c down because they were too cold. I live near Houston, TX. I myself was a bit hesitant being that my former truck was an F-150 with rear a/c. Looking back the kids generally had the vents closed. I don’t believe you will be disappointed.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am very torn between an XL STX and a XLT. I currently have a deal on a XL STX, 4x4, Crew with the 6.2, 360 tow camera and 4.30 for 42,600 OTD. Best Deal I have gotten on an XLT is about 50K OTD.

I have an STX, no vents in the rear. Not an issue this past Summer in Virginia heat. STX is a good value if you don't need or want extravagant luxuries, and I dont.

Have a 2017 XL STX - no rear AC vents, but the front AC works so well, it wasn't a problem even in *warm* SC.

I have a question, if I may ask, that is unrelated to A/C, but related to STXs which many of you on this thread have...with the bench seat and flip-down seat back to form a 'console', is the headrest of that flip-down 20% section REMOVABLE? I ask because in the flipped-down position it seems to consume a lot of space between the seat and the dashboard...thank you.

Yes it is. Removing that thing was actually the first thing I did when I bought it. Never even left the dealer parking lot with the headrest in.

Absolutely the headrest is removable. There are tabs at the base to push in, and it's hard to get your fingers in there, but it comes off easily. Mine is off as well.

Glad to hear it, dksmith17 and jergle, that is great news... just a comment on the topic, I see that FLEET orders can get a 'Mini Console', I haven't seen one, but seems a shame that we can't order one, I am picturing a console limited to between the seats (no bridge to the dash) with or without a lid...thanks for your responses.

I removed the headrest and it gives you better access to the HVAC controls and lower cupholders. So far I have only used the jumpseat once, and it better be a small kid there to fit right lol.

Understood, Crabbman P, I am thinking access to a CB radio mounted below the heater controls (or the bottom item on that portion of the dash
