Park assist alarm

I have a 2015 powerstroke F-350. When in reverse with tailgate down, the alarm would sound and I could press "ok" and it would stop. Now there's nothing on th e monitor that allows me to silence the alarm. Nothing in settings now too where there use to be??? When connected to our 5th wheel, there's no alarm so I know something is working. Do I need to reset something??? It's very annoying backing up to our camper.....

I’ll bump, I know what you mean, but I always have the option to silence it. Very odd.

I can mute mine via the off setting that pops up when in reverse. Also there is a setting to set it to off all the time. Settings>Driver Assist>Rear Park Aid>On/Off

As I stated in my original thread. There use to be an “ok” button that I could use to mute it. Now it’s gone. Also gone from settings

Have you made any changes to the truck with ForScan?

Negative. My son swapped out a bumper section but he used the same probe that was in the old bumper so that shouldn’t have affected anything

I've got a 2015. There is a setting in the menu to turn them off manually if it doesn't prompt you. I think it's in the "Settings -> Driver Assist -> Rear Park Aid". Of course every time you turn the vehicle off and start it up, it will be back on again. Some other warnings seem to disable these messages too (like the low DEF warning disabled my low fuel warning) so make sure you don't have other "check engine" lights or warnings.

Here's a video of the setting on a 2011 menu:

When my 5th wheel connector is hooked up, the rear sensors (parking assist) are disabled automatically. When it's unplugged, they're back on. Of course I have a 5th wheel tailgate so I don't have to lower it to hookup.

Sorry I don't have any other ideas. Any recent trips to the dealer for any software updates? I'm not sure if this can be switched on or off within FORscan or not. That would be the only other thing to look into without making a trip to the dealership to find out why the off option is not available any longer.

My 2016 looks just like that. But it appears OP does not have that menu item any longer.

Take a picture of what shows up on your screen when you select "Driver Assist".

All that is there is trailer brake and trailer sway control. It "was" there when I first got the truck. VERY strange....
