Sounds like a productive day, I just mowed the lawn and added some brick edging for a flower garden.

Lol, it did ride nicely on the way back home. They were at my mom's house, she's not doing as much gardening as she used to. Returned one section to lawn.

Good evening Illinois, en, Jim, Neil, John, and Sean!

When I was rebuilding our retaining wall planter last week I bought 32 of those block at Lowe's for $1.28 each. Transportation is a ripoff John.

Have you ever priced the composite decking..? $5 per foot, I think when I change the decking on the front porch I'll stick with wood...

Howdy John!

When I built our sun porch 11 years ago I used composite for the floor and railing around the deck.

The deck that I built 3 years ago has a composite floor.

Stuff is too rich for me, I used treated lumber on mine and it's actually in good shape but need to lift it to do a little work under it, not sure what condition it really is in until I lift it. Might be putting it off for another year though just spent big bucks on the panel..

I hope your fasteners didn't rot away. I've seen decks that had the fasteners rotted away in the corrosive treated lumber. I use teflon coated Deck King screws after seeing that.

What did you have to by for the panel?

I know what you mean by pricey Patty said we're only going to do it once so we got the good stuff plus with me doing the labor we could afford to splurge a bit.

I used coated nails, it's been there 30 years now, if I do change it out I don't think I'll be around if I get another 30 ..
