What the snow - April BS Thread

Seriously, they just cancelled school in Wolcott today stealing a day away from April vacation. Not happy.

We will be away in NH at the end of their April vacation, so they won't be in school regardless. Superintendent had the ***** to send out an email yesterday. Here is the last two sentences:

The day will be treated as a regular school day and all Board policies and school protocols will be in place. Students and staff are expected to attend.

Sounds like a threat to me. I also know of teachers that have vacation plans that week. Too bad my wife (one of their usual substitute teachers) will be away.

Screw em. Not yours or your kid's faults that they were too stupid to realize snow melts in 3 hours this time of year.

Sure, why not. I'll be back in NJ working on the Bronco engine. We are having to replace most anything with a pulley due to wear/tear. PS pump & pulley (it was nicked in a couple of places), smog pump, water pump. Alternator looks like a replacement and strangely enough the tensioner pulley seems okay.

Sounds like a good bit of work, Greg. I have some work I need to do as well, but the truck doesn't fit in a garage, and it refuses to be nice out, so there ya go.

That's what they have EZ-Up's for. Or, if it can wait a couple of weeks, I can try to squeeze you in at Jim's place down in north NJ. He and I should both be done with our current projects in the next week or so.

What drives me crazy is when those damn schools take a "professional development day" off on top of starting school at 9am. Teacher can show up a little earlier if they need professional developing. Teachers union is hurting education.

The truck fits in the garage, just can't close the door. I should be good to go. It's not as bad as it has been. Thanks for the offer though. Just need to pull the driveshaft and lube up the splines and put it right back on. The whole truck needs some major cleaning.

Done. Lubed the driveshaft Wednesday night. Amazing the difference. It's subtle to most, but very noticeable to me. So much smoother now. Hope everybody gets out to enjoy the weekend. Not as nice as originally, but still nice compared to what we've been dealing with.

11 Months and 4 days since I drove her last, and finally picked her up today. I immediately took her on a 300 mile shakedown run with the trailer. It seemed like a reasonable thing to do.

It goes ok. Not a whole lot of power without my big sticks, but reliable now I’m sure.
