Well happy birthday you old chunk of coal. I'm sure you'll be a diamond some day.

I hit that age mark late last year, I know what you mean, I felt like I suddenly became an old man. Once I adjusted to the number, I found that I'm only as old as I let myself be. At least for now... 60 is just a number, Jim.

Thanks all. Yeah 60 is just a number. A number I never thought I would reach when I was a young foolish kid. LOL

They are all just numbers. You know what they say, "60 is the new 40". I read somewhere recently that 50 years ago the average life expectancy for an American man was 67. Oh crap. I'm a year past my use by date!

Well, I heard it was 72, so you still have a few years left.

Hope everyone had blessed Sunday. We had some rain yesterday morning, but it did not last long, and has been clear ever since about noon.

Happy late birthday Jim. I finally had flanges added so I can go from cat to straight pipe, running straight pipe now because I will be towing heavy to Salinas tomorrow and it will help my EGTs

Not bad, got 50 out of 50. However, if it were not for the multiple choice, I would have been guessing on quite a few of the real old ones.

EGT

Are you seeing any significant drop in Exhaust temps with the "test tube" in place? What I did was found an old Cat and gutted it to see if EGT might drop, but I'm concerned that the expanded cavity in the exhaust might cause more turbulence and result in a less free flowing exhaust as a result, maybe even raising EGT. If you have noticed any lower EGT, I'd also be interested in how much that part costs. Thanks

On edit: I think I'm now reading that what you did was straight pipe FROM the cat, which confused me because I assumed that the part you posted a pic for was a test tube to put in in place of the cat... Either way, I'm looking to lower EGT for towing myself so experience with your system and suggestions would be appreciated.
