Ford Excursion 2000 - 2005
Description:

This is made specifically for the Excursion. It will not fit F250/F350. It might fit an Econoline, but it would need to be lifted.

PullRite 20K hitch, the 20K being the weight limit. I believe it's 2000 lb tongue weight. Extremely heavy duty. Works like a 5th wheel hitch for your Excursion. The pivot point is by the rear axle. I had it removed from my Excursion because it was overkill for what I tow. Everything is there. I have attached a couple of pictures and will take some more if wanted. Local pickup only. Located in Winchester, VA. Weighs around 450 lbs. Asking $500/BO.

Interested in the pullrite hitch

I am interested but cant do local pickup, any chance you could pallet it to a freighter for a little more price?

Also, do you remember how much lower it was than the original ford hitch when positioned right below it?

Off the top of my head

I'd say it was about an inch below, but don't quote me on that. I know it wasn't significantly lower. I've never shipped anything via freightliner and don't know how I'd be able to get it on a pallet, to be honest with you. I'd prefer that the buyer just pick it up or I could deliver it within a reasonable distance. It's currently sitting on my utility trailer.

Do you have all the bars and mounts that go to the trailer side as well?

Unfortunately I am 2000 miles away but if you could get it on a pallet I could arrange for shipping from your home.

Everything is there

The previous owner of my Ex was a mechanic and he moved from Arizona back to Northern Virginia. He had the hitch because he was towing a utility trail with all of his tools and possessions in it. When he stopped at the weigh station on the way to VA, he said he was right around 20K total weight. So, rough figuring, he was towing about 13K with it. The only time I ever used the PullRite was when I purchased the Ex and the trailer as a package and towed the trailer home. I didn't even know it was back there. So, long story short, yes, everything is there from the tow vehicle end to the supports/weight distribution bars for the towed vehicle. It also has the hitch and ball. The hitch is 2 1/2 inch and weighs a ton. I'll see what I can do. Again, I was hoping to not have to pallet it and ship it if possible. Where I live, it's almost impossible to get a tractor trailer in here and turned around to get back out, so I'd likely have to drop it off. If you could find a shipping company close to me that would be wiling to put it on a pallet for a reasonable cost, I could get it there. I'll do some checking on my end and let you know if I find out anything. I live in the 22601/22602 ZIP code area. I'd be willing to drive it within about a 50 mile radius.

So far I can only find shipping that requires it to be on a pallet first, they do not seem to think tight residential roads are a problem.

I can only find shippers who will pick it up if it is already on a pallet or if all the parts are shrink wrapped to it. Let me know if you find a way to package it and I can arrange shipping, otherwise I will have to look elsewhere. Thanks.

Shipping

Sorry, I haven't had a lot of time to check around this week due to home projects that needed to be completed. I'll do some checking early next week locally, however I'm guessing I'll end up with the same results as you. If you need a hitch soon, then you may be better off looking elsewhere, as I have no way of putting this one on a pallet myself. Sorry.
