Peter , see if you can get in contact with Scrape , he is or was a member on here .
He usually has a few f100's for sale , he may even have a RHD if your lucky .
But it would be more than your 10k budget ..
For 10k you will be buying rubbish .

Hi Scott. 10k USD was just a base figure I was throwing around. I would expect to pay a fair bit more than that landed. I don't mind paying more for one in Australia if it's a reasonable price. (yours, for example- is a reasonable price) I have just imported two cars, a 67 mustang fastback which I sold last year and a 29 ford coupe which sold last week and neither had asbestos issues. Maybe I was just lucky.

I just read the Hemmings article. Wow! Who in Australia is going to import cars anymore? And the price of classics already there will sky rocket!

Not to hijack the thread but a few years back under the previous US presidential administration there was a directive that halted sales of children size ATVs because they had lead acid batteries that the 'kiddies' might come in contact with. That directive was soon lifted when they realized they had essentially killed small ATV sales.
About as short sighted and seemingly stupid as the new regulations by OZ.
Now back to regular scheduling

Well the good news is I have found a nice '56. Haven't finalised payment yet, so won't jinx myself and talk about it until it happens.

Hey Peter,
Here in America we'd call that a "tease". You can't leave us hanging....
Let's see what you are looking at over there....

Hey, sorry Ben. Shooting my mouth off before I have it in my driveway is never a good idea, is it? The one I was looking at is now a bit of a maybe as its got some mods that might be difficult to rego when she gets over here. Not that I am terribly phased by that as have done it before.

I have my eye on a nice 52 as well, but the seller is darn near impossible to contact. Maybe he thinks I am trying to scam him, sell him bitcoins for a dollar or something

Hey Peter
We'd love to see any of the trucks you are looking at over there.
I don't think it's bad luck... just taking your buddies along for a ride.
I looked at a truck here in Austin for a guy from Norway on FTE..
It was fun... I took lot's of pictures.

I've been told by my fellow car buff fans that Australia requires the steering to be changed to right-hand drive. Is this true?
