Post Difference In Dynos

This could be one reason for my lower than normal figures compared to a dynojet dyno, i had mine on a mustang dyno

http://www.hondaswap.com/~pills/mustangvsdynojet.html

i did get a 15.8 @87 mph though.

Difference In Dynos

I noticed on that link where it said multiply the dyno figures by 1.37 w/auto trans.My figures were 237hpX1.37=324 hp @flywheel
323trqx1.37=442.5trq@flywheel
even with those dips in graph it is 14 hp over stock-bummer
22ft/# over stock-bummer!

If you took even 10 Dyno jet dyno's they would not read the same. You can not compair 2 runs made on different dynos. Also most published figures are corrected for density altitude. So LA where it is hot and humid we make less HP than when it is cold and dry out. every deg F changes altitude 10'f normal is concidered 56 def. So if you made a run and it was 90 then you are at say 1000' density altitude then factor in humidity and you are probably near 3000. I don't have my book with me but you can call the airport and get the excat density altitude. Then do a search for the corection, If you can't find it I migh be able to, then you use your measured # times the correction to get corrected #.

The reason you use this is not to look at your # vs another but so that you have a base line and if you make a change you can tell what you did.

EX. If in the winter we had a dry cold day then density altitude would be below sea level. Well you make your run and get a #. Then in the summer you get a DA of 4000 feet and after adding a chip and filter you make less HP on the same dyno then you get pissed because you lost power. In fact you might have gained 50hp but the weather killed it.
