Scan before or after spark plug change ?
I plan to have a scan done on my 2006 4.6 2 valve f 150 ,
however the place I have chosen to go wont be able to
get to it for another 2 weeks , I'm fairly confident that a
new set of plugs and a COP boot / spring kit will solve my
problem . So my question is should I wait till its scanned
to change plugs/ boots , or change them before and possibly
have a plug or plugs foul out from something else that I'm
not aware of .

I would change them first to eliminate them as a possible cause of a misfire, should there be a misfire code when the truck is scanned. BTW, if you have an Autozone near you just drive over and they'll scan it for free. Then you can scan it again after changing the plugs and boots and see if anything changed. Don't forget, if you disconnect the battery any and all codes will erase.

Speaking of disconnecting the battery and the codes erasing ,
will it be ok to remove the PCM or ECU or whatever the gizmo
in the picture is called , so I can have better access to the two
plugs in the rear of the right bank , step 1 ; disconnect battery ,
step 2 ; unplug the 3 connectors then unbolt the gizmo .
