After 12 years in Alaska with hot water plumbed to the toilets we'd had enough and moved to Arizona.

We're at 6", with another day to freeze. Then this place is going to turn into a mud pit.

The ground is frozen about 9" deep. When the top thaws, there'll be nowhere for that water to go. It's going to be a mess. Especially our gravel roads.

Well, some snow was deleted today in central PA. The temp got up to 39°F this afternoon. It was the first time it was above freezing since a couple of days before Christmas.

Is anyone else wishing we could delete some weeks off the calender???? We've had more days in the negative and snow than I like. South sounds good... far south.

Hmmmm.... It was 8 degrees this morning in Waco where my kids live just north of our balmy 14 degrees here in Austin. You are going to have to go
a lot further South. I've just about deleted our entire wood pile!

If he’s deleting AND adding they cancel each other out. He’s not actually doing anything.

LOL. Effietrucker, my gravel driveway literally looks like a muddy creek bed right now after the thaw. I have a 3-point land leveler that I pull behind my tractor. It "revives" the gravel and lifts them back up to the top, but you can't use it unless the ground is dry.

We have a grader box. It works pretty well. But like you said, on a dry road.

We still have a little ice under our gravel road. Actually, we're in the middle of a timber harvest. There have been 6-8 semi loads of logs going out per day. I'm not sure what we have left would be considered a "road" in most polite company.
