At least they kept it Ford powered; they usually put a LS in everything. They did a 65/6 Mustang 2+2 and a Pantera both LS. The Pantera is or was owned by Richard Rawlings of Gas Monkey fame and was on one of his episodes.
The do phenomenal work regardless, but anything other than correct stock is an interpretation and like this one, it's not for everyone.

I don't think it reflex's the styling of an updated F100 of that period especially the tailgate and if my eyes are deceiving me, it looks like the parking lights, grill and gravel shield don't quite line up ( maybe it's just the reflection )
If I had to compare to past designs, I'd have to go with Dave Kindig and his stretched and lowered 54'-

This is just my opinion, but I absolutely detest that thing. I just cannot, with an open mind, see who this kind of build appeals to. It seems like a box-ticking project, to please as many as possible in one project. And why did they have to mention what oil and coolant it's running, like that's some kind of rare spec? This truck and that whole scene doth rub me the wrong way this evening. Sorry guys.
But on the flip side, I wish I had half the talent and budget of these guys, then I could create something that I did love.

I agree. Nothing special and the grill is just weird. And I have seen much better seats here on FTE. These look like they came from a '90s base model Dodge Dakota. And it has a "custom bed built from scratch"? Lots of work to do that as several here can attest. For a show truck it looks pretty much the same IMHO. Up close and personal it may be different. But the 50/50 look isn't much different.

ehhh.... In their position you have to come up with 'different' approaches if you want that sponsor money, notoriety and advertising co-op. I've only seen a few of their projects, mostly on Leno's show, and have enjoyed seeing their level of workmanship and design. However this project fails to bring anything new or noteworthy to the table, they probably should have left it a dusty corner of the garage until they came up with some true inspiration.
