DJM 3/4 lowering kit rear hanger questions!

I am considering a DJM 3/4 lowing kit for my 74 longbed. I am having a very difficult time finding some very basic information. The leaf springs, there's a fwd and rear hanger that gets replaced, on the rear one, must you have to alter (cut) one of the bed support beams to fit the rear drop shackel? Some sites say yes and some say know, I think its maybe year specific??? .
I am considering this complete install myself. Any tips or advice would be great!!!
Any pics of the shackle or any before and after pics would be great!

If you mean a rear bed crossmember, no i don't believe so. Supposedly on certain 67-72 trucks but not dentsides. I did the rear flip kit instead so I'm not 100% on that.

If you mean the little rods that connect at the corner of the fender lip down low, yes. Mine had to be removed for clearance. If you mean part of the bed floor, no. The rear shackle sits very close (like a quarter inch gap) to the bed, but does clear. However, mine is a 77 F100 swb, so I don't know 100%. I had the same shackles, literally, on my 75 F150 lwb and it had the same clearance, so I would imagine you'd be good to go.

if you're talking the small removable braces the bottom of the bed flops around without them. When I put drop shackles on my '94 lightning I made some new braces out of steel rod with a bend in them to clear the shackle
